Martin Brothers, an industry-leading sub-contractor company based in Los Angeles, California, has partnered with WorldViz’s Architecture Interactive division to deliver immersive design and coordination solutions to its clients and partners. Martin Brothers will be using WorldViz Virtual Reality 3D visualization technology to streamline and optimize construction projects. Their incorporation of immersive interactive 3D mock-ups will facilitate collaboration and communication between sub-contractors and project managers, provide cost-effective design visualization, and engage prospective clients.
Martin Bros pride themselves on being the go-to sub-contractor for complex building projects such as the Walt Disney Concert Hall, Getty Museum, Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX, among others. Their new CornerCavern and Oculus Rift based walking system will allow them to eliminate change orders and provide the highest level of confidence in the design and implementation of all future projects.
This month, Martin Brothers and WorldViz provided a demo of the VR tech that included attendees from many world-leading AEC firms including Turner, Skanska,
Taslimi, Perkins + Will, Walsh, Swinerton, Hathaway Dinwiddie, and HCA. During the demo we evaluated environments on a fewcurrent projects including the Riverside Hospital Project, the Wilshire Grand Hotel Project, and an LA-based Great Wolf Waterpark Project using a full-scale immersive 3D simulation system.
We are excited to see Martin Brothers incorporate innovative 3D immersion methods into their projects using WorldViz VR technology! The Martin Brothers team recently dropped by WorldViz headquarters in Santa Barbara to professionally film how Virtual Reality will fundamentally change the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industries by replacing physical prototyping with virtual simulation.
